Union Digital Center is a union based service center. The purpose of this is to ensure Internet services at the doorstep of the grassroots people. In this union a unemployed youth and a young woman jointly serve as the entrepreneur in this digital center. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Union Information and Services Center on 11th November 2010 in the country. Now the union information service center has been renamed as Union Digital Center. With the establishment of a digital center at the union level, a further progress has been made to meet the target of building Digital Bangladesh. As well as grassroots people came to the hand of the Internet service. People of rural populations are now taking easy access to the Internet through education, health, agriculture, land, employment and other services at low cost.
